| ESSENCE PORTRAITS |
| Nancy is available to draw your essence portraits using pastels or watercolors - you will see your shine and your magnificence!
International figurative artist Nancy Ballard captures with a few gesture strokes on paper the unique spirit of her subject. Compromising rigorous, traditional representation for the sake of mood in her renderings, Ballard draws the essence of her subjects.
Essence Portraits – 3 Poses
Celebrate the Body through Art with Nancy as she draws you in three different poses giving you the opportunity to see yourself as the star of your own masterpiece. Her pastel and watercolor studies involve your participation in the process and the chance to actually connect with each pose. In these renditions, a transformation takes place as you are provided the opportunity to see yourself as lovely, amazing and unique.
Nancy has captured the essence of new born babies, pregnant women, survivors of serious illnesses, and, a favorite of hers, an 84 year old woman… all who see themselves as lovely. The experiences are often remembered as healing, joyful and fun.

Drawing your face with your non-dominant hand, from a favorite photograph of any age.
Color it in with the colors you can’t see in a black and white world. A profound experience! |
| CHILDREN |
Oftentimes, children are affected by divorce, sorrow and horror. Although we are disturbed by these facts, they remain true. Seeing themselves as worthwhile and not at fault often provides the medicine that is needed - a fun adventure celebrating the goodness and perfection in each of us, a bag of candy twizzlers to enjoy during poses, and an impartial (hardly) ear to listen without judgment or fear. Often, the young perfect self emerges and some of the scariness goes away. Maybe they kiss their new, perfect watercolor renditions or want to draw me! My hope is that they are able to see themselves once again as whole, perfect and sweet. |
